Cabinet of Ministers Complex for Information Systems and Telecommunications held a session to sum up the results of development in 2005 and priority tasks for 2006.
        
        The volume of services last year made up UZS 400.1bn, including UZS 374.1bn in ICT and communications sector and UZS 26bn in information and press sector.
        
        The number of mobile users in Uzbekistan reached 1.15 million as on the end of the year, the complex said, which is more than double the figure of the same period of 2004. The mobile communication sector is developing more intensively than fixed telephone communication, it was noted.
        
        The quantity of Internet users reached 855,000, the complex added.
